with dark clouds hovering above us, we wonder if we could still continue our match.

so we didnt see any gerrards, lampards, ronaldos or even henrys.
in fact, we could see barrys, cahills, campos and parkers.
because this is the day we played for on another.

The DHL team suffered its first defeat in this pre-season's friendly away to the St Anthony's in Fuchun Sec. Playing in breezy, cloudy conditions the DHLwent a goal down after only 5 mins following a quick run into the penalty area by ANTHONY, a short placing to the far post before VINOD, with the composure of van nistelrooy, slotted in th first goal of many to come.

However, there was no let-up from DHL who have gave a good fight in the next 20 minutes to no avail. the flood gates soon open with JEREMY, taking advantage of the offside trap, runing almost half the field to score one of his many goals for the church. but DHL got one goal back through a mistake at our back line. and ANTEAUS made his intentions clear. EMMANUEL was unlucky when he was put on thru but failed to fidn the net. JEREMY then added a third by a header which made him smile all the way back to the center. 5 minutes before the half time whistle, ANTHONY jinxed his marker for a late run into the box, slotting home, our 4th goal of the day!and so we lead 4-1 at the break.

But DHL came back strongly in the second half and threatened to wrest the lead wiTH many strings of one twos and stated their intentions by getting their shot on target. But their fire was doused when St Anthony's added a fifth goal through MOSES in the 48nd minute. tasting blood, possesion was soon won back again by MOSES, giving a quick flick to BERNARD, who ran at the defence, with a step over, he crossed a lovely ball to a totally unmarked ANTHONY, who added his second of the game, our 6th goal of the game at the 60 minute mark. we now have two players trying for their hat tricks. DHL, totally demoralised on the goals being letted in, couldnt get their composure right as they tried long shots which flew to the keeper, if not it was nv seen.
after 5 minutes of quiet football from both sides, with the supporters getting restless, quick thinking by DESMOND, played UNCLE JACK thru for his first goal, our 7th. it was DESMOND again this time with a misplaced pass that found it's way to MOSES who went pass one, two players before having his legs taken away by the last man. NO CARDS, but PENALTY!!

BERNARD whispered " postiga "

without losing his cool, ANTHONY shoots the ball into the net for his HATRICK. our 8th goal.
taking out his shirt, he sub for EUGENE. soon after that, BERNARD's last contribution to the game was was wayward tackle to send a cheeky cross into the box where everyone fumbles and no one finishes. he soon sub for VINOD. with SHABIN being outstanding at the back, BISWAS was bleaming with confidence as he stroked the ball into MOSES path who nugmeg the keeper for his second goal, our 9th goal. UNCLE JACK then with his reserved energy, jinxed a total of three players before placing a spectacular half volley shot for his second goal, our 10th!

as the match draws to and end, with supporters all leaving, EUGENE gave everyone something to cheer about with a controlled volley for his first. our last and 11th goal. after the final whistle, hand shakes and all. St Anthony's team have grown up.
but supporters are still needed. we need our 12th man.

Ordination Mass

hey guys
listen up. friday i need you ppl down in church by 5pm. there are some last minute stuff we need to clear in ST THOMAS room. like i always stress. the more ppl who come and help, the faster we can finish the work and be happy with the results. it might be a lil hectic so do bring extra clothes yes? you can contact me, bernard if there's anything.

secondly, the servers' night clashes with wardens retreat and father cant be there. which means we have to push it to another date. everything has been planned.. practices will start soon. so please be updated on the activities.

servers carolling. larris please get the songs sheets ready. we'll be starting practice soon. and like i said. the more effort we put in, the better standard we have. so please do your best and nv give up.

all the best for the coming exams. when the going gets tough, the tough gets going!

Server's Night and Ordination Mass

Shalom to all,

Firstly, just to let you guys know about the changes to our SERVERS' NIGHT. please take note that only FAMILY MEMBERS are invited. FAMILY MEMBERS only. i'm sorry if it spoils your invitation plans. The SERVERS' NIGHT will be held on the 23rd Of OCTOBER @ 1930hrs. Please inform your parents. We will call and ask about a confirmation of how many in ya family are going. This is to cater the food and other activities. Please be cooperative. :)

Now, as all of you know, there will be an ordination in our parish. Deacon GERARD LOUIS will be ordained a priest on the 6th Of OCTOBER @ 1930hrs. Arch-Bishop, togther with 50 other priest and religous. will be gracing this special event. So of course the ordination needs special attention. MASS PRACTICE with FATHER TERENCE will be on the 24th Of SEPTEMBER @ 1400hrs. Please be punctual. You know what happens when you're late.
MORE INFORMATION DETAILS AND ANSWERS will be given on the 17th Of SEPTEMBER's SERVERS' GENERAL MEETING.
